Day trips from Kamena Vourla

Thermopylae

About 24 km towards Lamia. At the site of the battle of 480 BC are the Leonidas monument and Kolonos hill, where the last Spartans fought.

Evia by boat

In summer there are day trips by boat from Kamena Vourla to the fishing village of Agios Georgios on Lichada and to Edipsos, with its own thermal baths.

The Sporades

From the port of Agios Konstantinos, a few kilometres east, ferries leave for Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos. Departures are more frequent in summer.

Mountains

Mount Parnassos with its ski centre and the town of Karpenisi are within reach for a day trip. As we are open all year, Hotel Alma is a good base for a winter break too.
